A Message from the President - Richard W. Drake, Jr.
Dear Members,
Welcome to the Northeastern New York HFMA Chapter Website. The Northeastern New York chapter is an award winning chapter and has approximately 200 members. Our chapter is part of Region 2. Region 2 is made up of the following chapters: Western NY, Rochester NY, Central NY, Hudson Valley NY, Metropolitan NY, Puerto Rico and us. This year our region and chapter are developing an informative Educational Calendar encompassing revenue cycle, legislative updates, charge master review, compliance, consumerism in healthcare and more. We begin our Educational series with the Region 2 Leadership Training Conference being held June 14-15 at the Gideon Putnam Hotel and Conference Center in Saratoga NY and follow up with our Region 2 Institute being held October 15-16 at the Saratoga Hotel and Conference Center in Saratoga, NY. Our own Chapter Educational sessions will run monthly from September through May and are being held at The Edison Club in Clifton Park NY
Involvement in your local HFMA Chapter gives you the opportunity to network with your peers, stay informed of changes in the healthcare financial industry, and learn about services offered by companies in the healthcare financial services business. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER - and the Northeastern NY HFMA Chapter is dedicated to providing you with the services necessary to excel in your profession.
I hope to see you at a meeting or our Golf Tournament being held at McGregor Country Club being held July 16 our Day at the Races being held August 24 at the Saratoga race track. As background, our Chapter year (June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2007). The Northeast New York Chapter of HFMA is located in Region 2 and is the leading personal professional membership organization for healthcare financial managers. Currently, our organization has over 180 members. The Chapter's area is a favorite vacation location and includes Albany, the capital of New York State, Saratoga, and it's famous race track, Lake George and the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains.
